But when I looked at what was available for senior dogs, I kept finding the same problem: long ingredient lists, familiar formulas, and little clarity about what the complete formula could actually accomplish.
That led me to a question I could not set aside:
'If science is changing how we support healthy aging in people, why has so little of it reached our dogs?'
I wanted every active ingredient in Amiquip to have a clear purpose, credible science behind it, and an amount that could actually matter. I wanted a focused formula that could be studied as a complete product, not another crowded blend where it was difficult to know what each ingredient was really contributing.
I was also not willing to borrow research from humans and simply assume it would apply.
Dogs are not small humans.
So I commissioned a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study specifically in senior dogs. The study combined real-world observations from owners with laboratory metabolomic analysis of blood samples.
Amiquip was well tolerated. In the study, 86% of owners in the Amiquip group reported increased energy or activity, compared with none in the placebo group. Metabolomic testing also found promising changes in pathways related to cellular energy.
That research became the foundation for a focused formula with just two carefully selected active ingredients.
Micronized PEA supports everyday comfort and mobility. PQQ supports mitochondrial health and cellular energy production.
I created Amiquip because we never get enough time with a good dog.
You do not have to wait until something is wrong to start supporting the years ahead.
